It’s 11:59 a.m. on a Monday. Do you know where your friends are? If they are as addicted to SoulCycle as yours truly, they’re hovering by a computer, hands shaking, ready for the weekly registration frenzy.
As of today, SoulCycle promises to make the sign-up experience less anxiety-inducing with the launch of their highly anticipated app. After being beta-tested by some of Soul’s most dedicated riders, the new app will download flawlessly, so you can sign up on the go with zero qualms.
Among other exciting features, the app allows riders to bookmark and prioritize classes as well as easily access studio information via G.P.S. Users can browse classes in any region and view instructor bios and music preferences. Looking to ride with a buddy? You can share your classes on social media and see which of your friends are taking which class! As senior instructor Emma Zaks says, “SoulCycle is about community. The new app helps our riders connect more seamlessly, not only to the brand but also to each other.”
To celebrate the launch, SoulCycle created the “Oh, Appy Day” digital campaign, with an accompanying music video starring dancing instructors in the corporate offices. The song—a parody of the famous “Oh, Happy Day”—was produced by Grammy-winning producer Raina Bundy and is perfect for a sing-along. Think: Virgin Atlantic’s in-flight safety video, but grounded and rolling. Simply too fun for school!
Here’s to bringing your spring fitness resolutions to life with the swipe of a finger and a catchy tune.
